We have been through alot these past few years and thank everyone who has added us to their prayer lists. For those of you who do not know, on February 2, 2002 we had a devestating barn fire that took the majority of our animals. Then, on June 21, 2003 my husband, Michael, was taken to be with the Lord after a head-on car collision. Thankfully, the rest of us have recovered completely from our injuries. We miss Michael but know he is definately in a better place. |
We have started our goat herd once more and currently have nigerian dwarfs, boer and some crosses. Our donkey, Poncho, oversees the running of the barn! Along with our animal additions, God has also blessed me with a new husband and the children with a wonderful step-father! Matthew and I were married in December '04 and he is now happy to say he is a farmer!! God is truly an awesome God! We give Him all the honor that is due, without Him we would not be here.
Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." We are standing on this promise and know that God is and always was in control. Everyday we remember things that show us that God protected us every step of our way and there has been tremendous good to come from all of these tragedies.
Thank you again to all who have lifted us up in prayer, have sent encouraging e-mails and also those who have been generous with what the Lord has given them. These things are not taken lightly and will not go unnoticed by both ourselves and the Lord. God bless you all!
